Jim Kahmann heads an independent management consulting organization headquartered in Connecticut. His organization focuses on profitable corporate growth. Jim has expertise in helping companies build out their sales and marketing architecture, both through independent channels and through direct sales forces. Additionally, he and his team have broad experience with both the creation and delivery of strategically-placed performance improvement and customer acquisition programs.

The process by which Kahmann Elements helps companies improve performance includes recruiting, rapid discovery, research and analysis, strategic planning, training and improved sales methodology.

Prior to forming his own firm in 1996, Jim was Executive Vice President of Global Business Development for Maritz Inc., a $1.5 billion international marketing services corporation. He has held senior management positions with the country's three leading performance improvement organizations. In addition to Maritz, Jim was Executive Vice President of Carlson Marketing Group, and Vice President of Sales for BI Performance Services. He was also Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Frequency Marketing Inc, one of the originators of customer loyalty programs.

Jim joined Maritz following a career in the Industrial Distribution industry. He served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing of California-based Ducommun Inc., at the time the largest steel service center in the country.

Jim is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with BS degrees in Journalism and English. He received his MBA from the Marshall School of Management at the University of Southern California, and is past president of the Managerial Policy Institute, the University's distinguished advanced study program.

A resident of Norwalk, CT, Jim's list of clients includes Aplicare, Abbott Labs, Pfizer, Bristol Myers, IBM, GE, Target, St. Gobain, HP, Verizon, OC Tanner, SkyMall and several mid-cap companies specializing in direct and channel sales and web-based delivery systems. He serves on the board of several companies engaged in marketing services, inquiry management and customer acquisition.

Jim resides in Norwalk, CT with his wife Ann, where they are near their two children and five grandchildren.
